Notice of Public Meetings of the Michigan Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights has announced two public virtual meetings of its Michigan Advisory Committee focused on the study topic of Artificial Intelligence and Civil Rights in Michigan. The first meeting, a Briefing Panel, is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET, during which experts will begin presenting on AI and civil rights issues in Michigan. The second meeting, a Debrief and Business Meeting, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET, to continue discussion and planning. Both meetings will be held via Zoom and are open to the public. Members of the public may attend, make oral comments during open comment periods, and submit written comments within 30 days following each meeting.
