This Kentucky bill creates new sections under KRS Chapter 367 to regulate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by licensed professionals providing therapy and psychotherapy services. The bill prohibits advertising or offering therapy or psychotherapy services unless those services are conducted by a licensed professional, and limits how a licensed professional may use AI in their practice. It requires all records between a licensed professional and a patient to be kept confidential and grants enforcement authority to the relevant licensing board. The bill provides exceptions for religious counseling, peer support, and self-help materials, and is designated as an emergency measure, meaning it would take effect immediately upon passage and signature.
