AN ACT relating to the establishment of the Kentucky Health Command.
This Kentucky bill creates a new section within KRS 42.720 to 42.742 to establish the Kentucky Health Command within the Commonwealth Office of Technology. The Kentucky Health Command would be required to contract with a private sector entity to develop standards and qualifications for an artificial intelligence-assisted virtual health platform. Rural health care providers and facilities would be able to contract for use of the platform under a defined process. The bill also establishes a mechanism for distributing net advertising revenue generated by the platform. While the platform may perform specified health-related activities, it is explicitly prohibited from engaging in the practice of medicine or diagnosing or treating any disease, illness, or medical condition. KRS 42.724 is amended to conform with these new provisions.
