This Tennessee bill amends Title 49 of the Tennessee Code Annotated to require transparency around artificial intelligence use policies in public schools. Specifically, it requires each public charter school to publish on its website the policy adopted by its governing board governing the use of artificial intelligence by students, teachers, and staff for instructional and assignment purposes. It also requires each local board of education to direct every school under its management and control to publish on the school's website the local board's adopted policy on AI use by students, teachers, and staff for instructional and assignment purposes.
